about

By blending older blues and country forms with new rock and roll styling, Robin guides you on a brief visit to The Impossible Address, his second album. Most of the album was recorded in two days at Delta Recording Service in Como, Mississippi, United States with producer Jimbo Mathus (Elvis Costello, Buddy Guy, North Mississippi All Stars, Squirrel Nut Zippers). These songs were captured in the moment, performed absolutely live. The results are warm in tone and record the inexplicable, surging excitement that Mr. Mathus infuses in all of his recordings. The remainder of the record was recorded in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada by Scott Franchuk. The songs from this session are clearer and a little more intricate, with a pinch of surrealism thrown in for flavour.

about

The Super 92 Edmonton, Alberta

The Super 92 were formed when Robin Woywitka returned to Edmonton from recording The Impossible Address record in Mississippi. Cousins Craig Kowalchuk (guitar, lap steel, harmonica) and Greg Kolodychuk (bass) bring an inimitable feel that is bred in the bone. Along with drummer Alex Jumpsen’s sturdy and inventive beats, the Super 92 is the perfect medium for Woywitka’s compositions. ... more
